So right now, as I type this, it's Sweden 3-1 Germany, all Goals scored before Halftime ... and I missed the whole fucking thing even though I didn't want to. I got back from getting a shave. I decided to get one because I didn't know I would have the time to do it after work next week, and I need to shave because I have a huge function next Saturday. I really had my mind set on watching this particular Match from the start, but I needed to get this shave more, and so I missed the important parts.
With that all said, there were chances for to not miss this Game. There were so many people at the school where I got my shave, so I knew that when the teenage girl said someone would be with me "shortly," she was lying. (I waited a bit more than half an hour, for the record.) But yes, I had the choice of not getting a shave, but I didn't. I could have woken up sooner, and I was kind of banking on my parents waking me up for lunch early. But this was an occasion where we ate at noon. This would've been great if I didn't have things I needed to do in the afternoon, but this time around, I did.
Since I was going to miss a good chunk of the Game, I decided to miss more of it and shop for lotion at the store on the other end of the parking lot. If I'm going to miss it, might as well make the time away from the Match productive.
