Woke up early enough to go through with my plan of working on my monthly expense list at a coffeeshop not that far away from me.  Had oatmeal to keep the plumbing flowing, if you know what I mean.  But it was kind of dry.  Poured in some of my mocha to wetten it, but it didn't work.

Anyway, I drove my parents' minivan to the coffeeshop.  Want to put it through its paces.  Thought about driving my car instead because the car wash is on the way to the coffeeshop, but the weather said it was and will get gross, so I didn't think it would matter.  But the drive there and back was perfectly fine.

What wasn't fine is the oil level.  This coffeeshop has a level parking lot, so I was able to check the level, and dammit, it's even lower than it was the last time I checked it -- about a quarter, I think.  It was at half one or two weeks ago.  Is the van going through oil like it's going out of sale, or am I scaring myself?  I know for a fact Father put in oil before they left, and that was early this month.  Can't be ... I'm playing myself, I just know it.

I am seeing friends for our annual Christmas tradition.  Using my car, of course, but dammit, I'm scared that the weather will get bad enough that driving will be treacherous.  They're saying ice.  Great.
