Farmers' Hours Again, Dammit

Since today/Wednesday I am technically filling in for someone and because I am scanning in the morning, my boss thinks it's best for me to work the same hours of the person I'm subbing for ... which means I have to come in at 6:30 ... which means I have to wake up around 5:30, which was my start time when I started this job all those many years ago.  I still think that "morning" starts at 6 (and just to make sure, if I have to come in to work at 7, I set my alarm clock for 6:01), and any time before that is waking up in the middle of the night and thus both weird and a sign I'm not right in the head.

But I must, and hey, it's only for one day.  But waking up around the time farmers wake up for the harvest isn't great for the body.  Heck, I should be asleep by now, but usually I go to bed 90 minutes from now, so I don't know if I'm going to get any sleep, because I doubt any sleep I do get is going to do me a world of good.

Plus, combine that with watching Gladiator II after work (I have a ticket for the 7:30 show; I kind of think that's too late, so I want to see if I can do the 4:50 screening instead, but I have been conking off in the late afternoon/early evening, so maybe I should stick to my original showtime?), and my body isn't getting a whole lot of rest the next 24 hours.  Goodness, I hope I make it to tomorrow/Thursday, when I have the day off ... to take my car to the shop.
