- Tonight I put aside two shiny quarters: 50 cents.
- Went to work out. Admission: $3.
- On Saturday, June 1 I think I picked up a penny. An Infusion of: 1 cent.
- Friday, May 31 ... shit, things are already hazy. I had a phone I had to take for a screening for an experiment I qualified for (yippee!!!), and I did that at the community center, so I know (and remember) working out. So, for the fitness room: $3.
- Thursday the 30th ... went to the movies to see Iron Man 3 before it leaves theaters. Very entertaining. I think I'll give it an A! I wanted to see it before full prices all day kicked in for the weekend. Still, since this is not Stimulus Thursday, small popcorn and small pop were both regular price -- which meant that I paid $7, almost twice as much, as I would have if I saw the film on Tuesday. Price for ticket, popcorn and pop: $16.25.
- I then realized I had the time to go see my junior prom date at the cemetery. I always go to this place close by me and on the way to the cemetery. I promised her I'd see her three times this year, so I'm braving allergies and going earlier in order to get those visits in. The price for a couple flowers: $2.68.
- On Wednesday the 29th, after seeing a free screening of the pilot for the USA Network drama Graceland (quick verdict: as breezy as any other USA Network show ... but holy shit, you can swear on the USA Network now, too? I heard two "goddamn"'s and one "bullshit!") I took some time to drop by My Favorite Stripclub (Non-Cover Version). There's another new girl working there that bugs me: Ginger, who tried talking to me about Buddhism, gave me a couple pieces of pizza bought by a customer, and otherwise couldn't communicate beyond making faces and grunting. Coffee and tips: $10.
- Went down to Caffetto for more coffee. With tip: $1.75.
- ETA: Tuesday, May 28 ... I went to the Ramsey County Library to just hang out before I had to be a guinea pig in the tube at the U. So glad I remembered that I had to print out the free screening pace for the Graceland pilot the next day. Unfortunately, Ramsey County Library costs for printouts are markedly higher than those in either Hennepin or Anoka counties. It was only one black-and-white page and I still feel ripped off: 20 cents.
- To Monday the 27th, aka Memorial Day ... the only EWR I can think of is the fare for the light rail I took from downtown to the Mall of America: $1.75.
- Sunday, May 26: Nope, I did not have the foresight to write down what I spent for a ticket, footlong hot dog and souvenir-sized Coke for the final Big Ten Baseball Championship Game, so I'll just pick a number that seems right: $19.
- Then I went to My Favorite Stripclub (Non-Cover Edition) where I propositioned this chick. Coffee, tips and a dance from said dancer, *i****: $30.
- Saturday the 25th ... OK, this should get easier because I was in Kansas City at this time, and I was a little more diligent in writing down my EWRs ... first I left a tip for housekeeping to clean up the room after I checked out: $1.
- I then went to the four casinos of the five in the KC area that I had not gone to. Seriously, for an hour or so I was totally lost as to how I would spend my time between having to leave the hotel and heading for the airport. I decided to collect the frequent gambling cards for those four. It wasn't the worst way to spend a few hours before flying home. However, all I did was put in two dollars into a slot machine at each of the four casinos. Won nothing. You'd think that if I did that four times I would get at least something. Oh, well, at least I didn't lose my shirt. Two bucks lost in each casino times four casinos equals: $8.
- Friday, May 24 ... went to Oklahoma Joe's, and even though I should get around to blogging about my trip to Kansas City, I will say that the pork sandwich I got here was great. It also was expensive: $13.57.
- I then went to the Nelson-Atkins Museum for an hour or so. Glad there is no fee to get in, although they ask for donations. I did donate: $2.
- That night I went to the Royals game. I understand they have to make a buck, but let's just say I was a captive audience. I'll detail later. Parking, ticket, scorecard, beer in a souvenir cup and a hot dog: $46.
- I then went to Whispers. Let's just say I was disappointed in what Sparkles gave me. Cover and three dances from her totals: $95.
- Back to Thursday the 23rd, where I started my stripper sojourn. Finally found Bonita Flats, where I stayed a while and had friendly conversation that went nowhere. Cover, Pabst Blue Ribbon and a pair of dances from Nirvana and Ava: $90.
- That evening, after driving to downtown and realizing there is a Royals game at home the next night I could go to, I went back to Whispers (again, I'll explain another time). Sparkles was great then, I mean, really great. Three dances from her, plus cover and tipping one babe onstage: $106.
- To Wednesday the 22nd where I had to kill time between flying into Kansas City that morning and getting my rental car that afternoon. So I went to the Museums On 18th And Vine via the bus. Going down and back was only: $3.
- The combo price for the Museums, the Negro Leagues Baseball and Jazz: $15.
- Went to Kansas City's Power And Light District to see Soundgarden in concert -- finally! Unfortunately I did not know that there was no opening act; it was just them at the supposed start time of 8. That's why I took my time before going in, snapping a photo of the marquee and walking half a mile back to my rental to leave my camera. I did that because I forgot to bring a belt; if I had a belt, I would've went in with my camera securely fastened. Oh yeah, there was a bum demanding money from me for "finding" a guy willing to give me a ticket. Yes, give me a ticket. Gotta love Kansas Citians! That homeless man's "finder's fee," plus a heinous price for a large beer and tip: $14.
- Tuesday, May 21: Thought I should get my car's oil changed -- and to find out the source and severity of another fluid leak I see on my parents' driveway -- before leaving. Went to the Overflow Café to work on my latest strip club review. Coffee plus tip: $2.23.
- There was an experiment around noon that I may or may not have signed up for. I had been going back and forth with this woman about an experiment. About a month before this day I was told that a reservation for Tuesdsay, May 21 at noon was available. I e-mailed her back saying that I could take it. But she never responded. So I am supposed to come in or not? I could not pass up money, however nominal, so that's why I arranged an oil change close to the U. this day; I could also swing by and participate in this experiment while the car's getting checked out. But when I come in the person who helped me was not aware of an experiment at noon or me. Moreover, this girl I was e-mailing with was not in that day. She told me she would tell this girl I was e-mailing with that I stopped by. To this day, I've heard nothing. You know what? I think that room and the people running this experiment are a bunch of motherfuckers. Anyway, since I had nothing else to do for lunch I went to the U. cafeteria and bought myself a Chik-Fil-A and Coke: $7.51.
- Oh yes, I remember! ... after I got the car back I went back to Diamonds to work further on the strip club review. Shit, I don't remember the exact amount I spent for coffee with tip, so I'll just say: $2.25.
- All the way back to Saturday the 18th, where I attended the final regular season game of the Minnesota Golden Gopher baseball team ... and I forgot the exact amount I paid for a hot dog and a Coke in a souvenir cup commemorating the inaugural year of Siebert Field v.2.0. Fuck, I'll pull something out of my ass. Uh, the total for a program, hot dog and big Coke: $10.25.
- I also forgot the amount for the PBR I paid for at the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club concert. Shit -- scalped ticket, beer and tip: $25.25.
- Then I went to Pizza Lucé, where I had dessert and milk, and where this bitch thought it appropriate to make fun of me. The guy who served me the tiramisu and milk (more like got it for me) was not sure how much to charge me, especially because the tiramisu was free because I got a coupon from a Minnesota RollerGirls bout. I think he said a buck and a quarter for the milk, so with tip I rounded it up just to: $2.
- Finally, Tuesday, May 14, where I went out to celebrate Minnesota becoming the 12th state in the union to legalize gay marriage where I went to Uptown and get ice cream from Sebastian Joe's with all the other progressive, gay-loving people living in the area and rejoicing over this historic news. Except that I saw none of that. Oh, well. Ice cream plus tip: $3.92.
Holy shit, I was a demon in figuring and listing this out! I wanted to blog about what I saw at Barnes & Noble today, and I think I'll do that soon. But for some reason I decided to pick this up (I typed down just the title and saved it several days ago) and methodically went through the list of Expenses Without Receipts. I usually don't do that because I hate doing that. It wasn't as if this was a joy, but this time around I had the determination to get this up. Don't know why beyond the fact that I'm back on a project tomorrow and I don't want to be saddled with coming up with something mere hours before the end of the day when some of the other things I want to talk about will take a long, long time to write about (like this EWR I have put on Draft some other things I want to talk about, none of them even a quarter of the way done). Well, regardless of motive, I've gotten this out of the way. Whew!
Caught up through June 2.
