Addendum To: Bye, Bye, Democracy

So the Republicans stole the House.  Successfully gerrymandering (this is why elections have consequences, especially the ones two years ago) will help you do that.  And the number by which Republicans will have a majority of the House can only be chalked up to gerrymandering.  Well, that and New York, which is its own shitshow of entitled and oblivious machine Democrats, MAGAts in Long Island, and Democratic judges who wouldn't let Dems cheat the way Republican judges allowed Repthugs to cheat when it comes to redrawing state maps.

We cannot wipe our brows that the "Red Wave" did not happen.  I think there was a sizable repudiation of Republicans for trashing Roe and sucking Trump's dick.  But because Republicans cheated, they now control one half of Congress -- the one that doles out the money, so expect nothing but fucking goddamn gridlock as they hold the debt ceiling hostage while demanding cuts to Social Security and Medicare.  Oh, and they'll do nothing but investigate every person connected to the Biden Administration, presidency, and family just because they want to destroy Democrats, no matter how much bullshit those investigations are.

Yeah, this was going to happen.  Still not right.  And we'll still not come back from this.
