Charles Barkley was the host of Saturday Night Live last (Saturday) night. I just woke up from a dream where I was cheering him on while he was playing, like this was set in his basketball years. His team -- I'm guess it was the Philadelphia 76ers -- were possibly playing my Timberwolves. The game was close; the Sixers were down by a possession with seconds left to go. Barkley took the inbounds pass ... and held it. He didn't shoot, didn't even dribble the ball. He just held it as time expired and his team lost.
So I complained, and somehow, Barkley heard me. And I don't remember what he said to me, but he said something to the effect of, "Winning isn't everything. Calm down."
And that was it.
