Starting some time last year I've been playing ESPN.com's Streak (formerly known as Cash For The Streak, I think) religiously. And I was up to ten in a row until I lost last night picking The Bastard Cincinnati Royals/Kansas City-Omaha Kings to beat The Bastard Charlotte Hornets at home. I'm kind of bummed, but I got it up to ten.
I'll never win these things. Some guy with supercomputers and algorithms, the same people who gamed daily fantasy sites when they were booming and unregulated, those are the people I'm playing against.
So why am I playing?
